God's Open House

Missions

We are called to participate in God’s activity in the world by healing and reconciling and binding up wounds, ministering to the needs of the poor, the sick, the lonely and the powerless, engaging in the struggle to free people from sin, fear, oppression, hunger and injustice, giving ourselves and substance to those who suffer.  The church is called to undertake this mission even at the risk of losing its life, trusting in God as the author and giver of life, living the Gospel and doing those deeds in the world that point beyond ourselves to a new reality in Christ.

Local Missions

Pitman Food Pantry The Pitman Pantry is a cooperative ministry of five Pitman churches to feed those in the community and beyond who are having trouble keeping food in their own pantries. The Deacons host an annual luncheon for seniors, maintain…

Stephen ministers are trained members of our congregation who team with a care receiver in a one-on-one, confidential relationship of care which may last a year or more, meeting weekly to listen, reflect and pray…

Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.…

Global Missions

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance We never know when an earthquake will hit China, a cyclone devastate Myanmar or a tornado hit the United States. When disaster strikes, members of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance are often the first ‘on the ground’ to help. Through our giving to the denomination’s One Great Hour of Sharing offering and a line item in our annual budget, we support…
