Rev. Paul Grenier grew up in Iowa and Southern New Jersey. He earned his Eagle Scout and followed his love of the outdoors to Marlboro College in Vermont, where he earned his BA. In Philosophy and Psychology. He then moved to New York City where he studied at Union Theological Seminary and earned both a M.Div. focused on theology, and an STM. focused on Church History. While retaining a love of academics Pastor Paul has been called to the more practical side of ministry. He has worked at several hospitals and received 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). He has also been trained as a Police Chaplain.
Rev. Grenier has traveled around the world and participated in several conferences. His specialties include pastoral-care.chaplaincy, disability theology, alternative worship, and ecumenical/interfaith dialogue In his spare time he enjoys hiking, reading, storytelling, and playing with his nephews and niece.
Currently Pastor Paul is serving as our part-time pastor, while the church searches for our next full-time pastor, and as a Chaplain at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. His humorous and thought provoking sermons make you want to come to church, and his optimistic and open, attitude comfort and inspire.
