A New Plan for Poinsettias
Remembering or honoring a family member or friend with a poinsettia displayed in the church has been a long-standing tradition in our congregation. However, our experience has been that most of them, after being in the church for several weeks, do not survive in the best condition and are not taken home by staff or members of the congregation.
Your Worship Committee would like to continue to use the following successful plan this year. We will order ‘virtual poinsettias’. We will still fill out the usual order form, make the usual donation and have the usual list of poinsettia memorials and gifts in the bulletin on Sunday, December 21st and Christmas Eve. We will purchase only a few large poinsettias to decorate the church from the 14th through the 24th of December. The rest of the proceeds from the Virtual Poinsettia Sale will be donated to the Pitman Food Pantry. In this way our gifts become a source of life for many and we significantly reduce what we have wasted in the past.
We hope you will participate again this year. Please click here to download an order form. Thanks so much for your cooperation and participation.
