COVID-19 Update From Session

To Our Family in Christ,

Out of concern for our congregation, Session met to discern how best we can care for each other as COVID cases and positivity rates in Gloucester County accelerate. COVID cases and exposures within our church community have been reported. As a result, Session is recommending that:

For the month of January, we encourage the congregation to worship online. Sunday worship can be found online at our Facebook page or at our website, pitmanpres.org. Links are also included in the Weekly Cornerstone. However, the sanctuary will be open if you choose to attend (masked and socially distanced).

There will be no in person Sunday School, no nursery care, and no coffee hour after services during the month of January.

In addition, please stay home if you:

  • have tested positive for COVID,
  • are waiting for test results,
  • have symptoms (sneezing, coughing, runny nose, achiness, sore throat, fever),
  • have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or has symptoms of COVID.

Questions can be directed to Karen Daly, Clerk of Session, kdaly@pitmanpres.org.

Blessings to you and yours,

First Presbyterian Church Session
