It is coming soon – an evening of fun for the whole family at our 1930’s Benefit Dinner, September 30th! 125 dinner tickets will be available beginning this Sunday, August 27 until all are sold. Adult tickets for those 12 and over are $30, 11 and under $20 which will include a lovely dinner with Rode’s chicken, a roast pig and sides from the delicious cooks in our church family! There will be the opportunity to also purchase tickets @ $1 each for the Bean Jar Guess (Prize of Wawa certificates for hoagies), a Candy Walk (like a Cake Walk, but with candy bar prizes as the 30’s introduced many new candies including: Tootsie Roll Pops, 3 Musketeers Bar, Snickers Bar, 5th Avenue Bars, Hershey Krackel and Miniatures Bars), chicken chunking with rubber chickens, a fantastic musical show and benefit auction of things you need or use like Aldi gift cards, Visa cards, gift cards for our mission fair, restaurants, a Mother Goose visit for a birthday party, room painting and many more! Tickets will be available after church in the Narthex and in the Social Hall on Sundays or you may call or email Jennifer Grenier to reserve your ticket. You will be able to purchase your tickets with a credit card this year and hopefully even online soon! Don’t miss out! Get your tickets before they sell out! Thirties costumes, which may be vintage dress or hobo, are optional, but encouraged! P.S. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up to lend a hand for the event, we still need (most jobs are short stints): set up help, clean up (mostly disposable, though recyclable) and leftover bagging help, ticket seller/takers and two door greeters. Call Jennifer Grenier or Patty Janusnewski to lend a hand. Plus, there are still openings for food items.
