The First Presbyterian Church in Pitman invites everyone in our church family and community to participate in our Holy Week Events, from April 9th to April 15th.
Palm Sunday, April 9th
Worship Service at 10 AM, includes palm processional by youth of the church; Labyrinth Walk after service in the Social Hall – Prayerfully walking a labyrinth is an ancient Christian tradition that combines themes of reflection and prayerful action in a way that allows a Christian to meditate on his/her life’s journey, which may have many twists and turns but inevitably leads to God. Please join us to experience this prayerful journey.
Maundy Thurday, April 13th
Potluck Dinner in Social Hall from 6-7 PM. You are welcome to bring any food but are encouraged to bring Middle Eastern style dishes. Please find the sign up sheet near the church bulletin board. Maundy Thursday Worship Service at 7:30 PM in Social Hall, includes voluntary hand/foot washing ritual.
Good Friday, April 14th
Walk with Jesus, 4-7 PM in Social Hall – There will be an art exhibit depicting the many faces of Jesus, and his journey to the cross along with the opportunity to walk the labyrinth (again). This exhibit will be composed of art from our congregation members.
Saturday, April 15th
