Jazz Vespers

jv925

We are kicking off our 16th season of jazz vespers in style on Sunday, September 25 at 5PM!  New York vibraphonist Behn Gillece brings his amazing improvising and composing skills to our sanctuary. His CD “Dare To Be” was just released to critical acclaim on August 16. He first played for our vespers series in November 2013, and we’re delighted to have him back again, with Brian Bets on guitar, Chris Simonini on organ, and Bob Shomo on drums. Proceeds from the free-will offering will benefit Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, which is currently responding to the Gulf flooding crisis and providing ongoing support for national and global needs. Everyone is invited to the lite-bites reception in the Social Hall following the service. Hope you can join us for an afternoon of improvisation and inspiration!
