Deacons

deaconsThe Deacons sustain the caring relationships that we share as brothers and sisters in Christ. Each Deacon is assigned to a cluster of church members. Members of the church family contact their Deacon for temporary help in time of need and the Deacons respond with tangible assistance such as meals or transportation. The Deacons host an annual luncheon for the congregation, an annual luncheon for our seniors and a Veteran’s breakfast. The Deacons coordinate our ministry with the Pitman Food Pantry, with our Annual Angel Program (Deacons request and distribute Christmas gifts from our church family to the needy) and provide assistance for food and living needs through the Lazarus Fund and the Loaves and Fishes Fund. Every church member is eligible to become a Deacon and everyone is invited to be a part of this ministry sometime during their journey with us.
