Notice from the Trustees – Per Capita Costs

Each year, our church is required to pay an annual “Per Capita” fee to the PCUSA. The cost is $37 per member (“per capita”), and it is paid out of church funds each year. The cost to our congregation in 2020 is expected to be $10,027. Here is how the $37.00 is distributed: The General Assembly gets $8.95, our Synod (Northeast) gets $4.10; and the West Jersey Presbytery gets $23.95. The money supports administrative costs and a wide array of programs and missions, including minister training and ecumenical ministries. If possible, we hope you will make a contribution designated as Per Capita as part of your giving to the church.
