The Pitman Pantry thanks you for your generous donations of soup and other foods in October! November is now upon us. This is the month we set aside a day to gather, dine, and give thanks to the Lord for all our blessings. The Pantry also makes an effort to help our less fortunate be able to have a special meal this month. A “Turkey Bag” is offered to each client filled with all the “fixings” needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. Fortunately, a kind donor supplies some frozen turkeys, some are purchased from the Food Bank with our cash donations, and some are donated by our members. (These can be placed in the church’s refrigerator’s freezer with a note “For Pantry.”) But, what’s a turkey dinner without cranberry sauce, potatoes, and vegetables? So, when shopping this month let’s pick up some “extras” to share. Also needed on an on-going basis is Mac & Cheese, rice, potato products, and yes, more soup. It’s getting colder, and soup warms the spirit as well as the belly. Psalm 100:4 -The Deacons
