Thank You, Sunday School

A special thank you to our Sunday School farmers! Last spring, our youngsters in Sunday School planted small tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers on our church lawn as they have done for several years. Each Sunday, as the plants matured, the children picked the ripe vegetables and those of us who work in the Food Pantry had the joy of sharing them with families in need. The amount of each crop was carefully recorded every week. Here is the exciting part! During the summer, we harvested and delivered to the pantry 68 cucumbers, 108 peppers, and over 1400 tomatoes! Congratulations and many thanks to our Sunday School farmers from the Food Pantry crew and the hungry families we serve.
