UrbanPromise is opening a Thrift Store! It started with a great idea and followed with enthusiastic volunteers and donations of clothing and items ready to sell. Finally the store location has been secured (2 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade), but some dry wall and painting still need to be completed, dressing rooms need to be constructed, as well as a few other items. Opening day is on the horizon because so many people have been involved, but the work isn’t over, and the to-do list is long. UrbanPromsie welcomes volunteers to join their effort. Help is needed to fit out the store, operate the store, and with special tasks like social media, accounting, and so on. Thrift Store Wish List items include a donated van or cargo truck, cash registers, pricing guns, vacuum cleaner, dollies, hand trucks and more. Additionally, a Thrift Store Manager is being sought! For more information on how you can contribute, please contact Thrift Store Advisor Ed Londres at (609) 417-1887 or Matthew Speh, Director of Social Enterprise, at (301) 693-7261.
